Wi-Fi TAJMAHAL: a new project of BSNL going to launch on 16th June
Just wait for 16th June; you will get a Wi-Fi Tajmahal. Tajmahal is a centre for tourism. Million of foreigners, as well as domestic tourist, visit the Tajmahal every year. Last year 60.72 lakh visitors visit to Tajmahal. According to some officials, so many tourists were the complaint about internet facilities especially foreigners.
ASI ( Archeological Survey of India) contact to BSNL (Bharatiya Sanchar Nigam Limited) to start work on the same project which is the so complex problem at Tajmahal.
Pradeep Kumar, Chief General Manager of UP-West BSNL told IANS that all the trials related to this project have been done and the same services will be launched on 16th June in Agra by Ravi Shankar as he is the Minister of Union Telecom.
For the security& some other reasons, the ASI gives permission only at one condition that the Wi-Fi ability will be under 30 meters radius from the main gate of Tajmahal. Out of this radius any surfing, browsing or any other usage of the internet such as downloading etc will be charged as Rs.30/hr said by an Official of BSNL.
Currently, ‘Agra Cantonment Railway station’ is the only public place where Wi-Fi facility is available.If this Wi-Fi Tajmahal project will be successful; BSNL has made a plan to expand the Internet Facility at Fatehpur Sikri also.
