BMW showing interest to build cars for Apple & Google said by the automaker’s production chief on Wednesday.
Oliver Zipse said in response to a question that we live in a world of partnerships about whether BMW could imagine building a car for a software or computer company such as Apple.
Early this year, a source told Reuters that Apple was looking beyond mobile devices to learn how to make a self-driving electric car and was talking to experts at carmakers and automotive suppliers.
Zipse added in a statement emailed to Reuters that we hold regular talks with companies from the telecommunications and IT industry, including Apple, about vehicle connectivity topics, BMW Connected Drive.
