Sony warning the consumers using water-resistant phone
The company started the trend of dust and water resistant phone, now Sony warning the consumers using water-resistant phone about getting their handsets wet.
Just like an example that how a company does marketing campaign of its product, Sony also wants that Xperia users not to go in the semi-aquatic environment with their smartphones.
The company has published guidelines, which explains, although it’s latest flagship and mid-range phones are much water-resistant in the markets, and they achieved their ranking through laboratory-controlled conditions. They also explain “Sony devices that are tested for their waterproof abilities are placed gently inside a container filled with tap water and lowered to a depth of 1.5 meters. After 30 minutes in the container, the device is gently taken out and its functions and features are tested.”
However, in other words, trickling a glass of water on the mobile, messaging in the rain or read-through messages sometimes in the bath are ok. But throwing the handset in the sea or using it during scuba diving is harmful for handsets.
This is an enormous U-turn from a company that has still set up underwater turn up stores as a resource of prominence the features of its handsets and of totaling accreting riddles to cameras for the underwater photography.
