Messaging your friend on WhatsApp could be a thing of past soon because UK government is planning to ban WhatsApp.

This popular app is in front of a total UK ban because the new laws are being in a hurry via would stop people sending the different type of encoded messages.

UK can ban WhatsApp

Snap chat, iMessage and Whatsapp presently mess up communications between users. Therefore, if they do not verify then they have to face a ban.

British Prime Minister, David Cameron warned by speaking earlier this year “In our country, do we want to allow a means of communication between people which we cannot read?” He also said, “If I am Prime Minister, I will make sure it is a comprehensive piece of legislation that makes sure we do not allow terrorist safe spaces to communicate with each other.”

The controversial law, nicknamed the ‘snoopers charter’, could be in place by the autumn.

Home Secretary Theresa May, has advised that the Government will drive the legislation through – with the current terrorist slaughter in Tunisia and France forcing the government to take an action quickly.

The laws include that the messages sent by the users from online sites such as Google, WhatsApp, and Facebook would hand over to the government security agencies like MI5.

Jim Killock, executive director of The Open Rights Group told the BBC: “The government is signalling that it wants to press ahead with increased powers of data collection and retention for the police and GCHQ, spying on everyone, whether suspected of a crime or not.”

He further said “This is the return of the ‘snooper’s charter’, even as the ability to collect and retain data gets less and less workable.”
