Reliance Communications Temporarily Bans Free Basics on Facebook

There is no official confirmation from Facebook yet that Reliance or TRAI contacted it about the issue. According to a Reliance spokesperson, the company is committed to provide Free Basics and working on the issue and the authorities would help India to start using Facebook Basics for free. The request to block services temporary comes when a consultation paper was published by the regulatory authority asking public to give opinion on variations on prices of data services.
