It’s hardly two weeks since Microsoft launched its digital AI assistant, Cortana, to Android devices and the company pulled the feature off from the American market. Just like “Okay! Google” on Google Now, users are used to saying “Hey Cortana!!” to wake it up and give a command. Microsoft’s Digital Assistant No Longer Responds to “Hey Cortana” on Android. The feature seems to be incompatible with voice recognition system of Google. In some cases, a phone may not be able to do some common tasks like sending emails and making calls. Microsoft has also updated Cortana to disable its voice activation.
